You can leave the hectic everyday life at home. Also take a beach walk in the south direction from Bergen aan Zee to Egmond aan Zee. You will enjoy!
If you go north along the beach, you will see the Schoorl dunes to your right. This vast nature reserve has the highest and widest dunes in the Netherlands. After a walk of about half an hour you will come across "de Kerf" to a unique brackish water area that was created after an opening was dug in the row of dunes in 1977, so that the seawater can flow in at high tide.
